How to apply

  • ✔ Use our Online Application Form.
  • ✔ Before submitting, please check with our Admissions team for the year group you are applying to.
  • ✔ Applications must be submitted through the Online Admissions Portal, along with all required documentation.

Age placement and transfer certificate 

  • ✔ Students are placed according to their age as on 31st August, in compliance with Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) regulations.*
  • ✔ A transfer certificate from the child’s previous school is mandatory for enrolment.

*Exceptions may apply based on KHDA approval, student circumstances and previous education systems.

Application fee

  • ✔ Pay the application fee.
  • ✔ A one-time application fee of AED 500 (AED 525 inclusive of VAT) is required to process applications and book assessments.
  • ✔ This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Assessment

  • ✔ Once the application fee is received, our Admissions team will contact you to schedule your child’s assessment.
  • ✔ The purpose of the assessment is to develop a complete and rounded picture of your child, their talents, interests, and learning style. This helps us support, challenge and inspire them from the start of their QE Dubai Sports City journey.
  • ✔ For international applicants, the Admissions team will be in touch to arrange and confirm assessment procedures.
  • ✔ A reference will be requested from the current school for all applicants.

Assessment methods vary by year group

Year group Assessment method
Pre-Prep School Individual/group assessment focusing on phonics, social skills, and cognitive development.
Prep School Literacy, numeracy, and general aptitude assessments.
Senior School CAT4 tests for cognitive aptitude, literacy and numeracy screening.
Post-16 Review of GCSE or equivalent results and interview assessment.

Interviews

Student interviews provide insights into their personality, motivation and alignment with our School ethos.

  • ✔ Pre-Prep and Prep: Parent interviews to understand family values and mission alignment.
  • ✔ Senior School: Students are interviewed to assess personality, engagement, and future aspirations.

Academic review and offer

  1. Following your child’s assessment, the Academic team will review the application.
  2. If a place can be offered, parents will receive an offer letter along with an invoice for the registration fee.
  3. Parents have seven (7) working days to:
  • Accept the offer.
  • Pay the non-refundable registration fee. (This amount will be deducted from the first term’s tuition fee.)

Waiting lists

In the event a year group is full: 

  1. Families will be informed when a waiting list applies.
  2. Priority will be given to:
  • Siblings of current students
  • Emirati students
  • Students meeting specific academic or extracurricular criteria.

3. Please note: Being on the waitlist does not guarantee placement.

KHDA registration process

Once placement is confirmed and fees are paid, parents must complete the mandatory KHDA formalities which include:

Providing a transfer certificate from the child’s current school.

Reviewing and signing the KHDA Parent-School Contract through the KHDA Parent Portal.

 

 

 

Re-registration and withdrawal

Re-registration

A re-registration fee must be paid annually to secure your child’s place.

Withdrawals

Parents must provide written notice at least one full term in advance of the withdrawal date.

Leaving certificates

Ministry of Education regulations state that the School reserves the right to withhold leaving/transfer certificates, assessments/school reports, and final results until all school fees have been settled by students transferring within Dubai or internationally.
